Juneau tram

Arrived in Juneau this morning. Unfortunately Alaska gets a huge amount of rain and you can be pretty sure it will rain at some stage every day. We had tickets to take what is known as the tram ride up to 1800 feet to see the view. At breakfast the fog was right down. After breakfast we decided to look around the town and suddenly the fog lifted. So jumped on the tram an a ride to the top for the view. We would properly call it a cable car. It holds about 30 people and one goes up while another goes down. Only takes a few minutes to get to the top. The views are great of a large part of Juneau. We hadn’t been back at street level for more than 5 minutes when the fog rolled in again and covered the mountain for the remainder of the day. We were very lucky.
